Our Practice 

Our practices are accredited through AGPAL, an independent accreditation and monitoring system on behalf of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and as such, ensure the high standard of care and equipment the practice utilises.

Treatment Room

Our treatment room is monitored by Nurses who assist the Doctors with patient care.

Appointments

Please phone for an appointment, every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time. Emergencies will always be given priority and our reception staff will attempt to contact you if there is any unforeseen delay or your Doctor has been called away.

Longer consultation times are available, so please ask our receptionists if you require a longer appointment.

Repeat Prescriptions

For the benefit of your ongoing health care, your Doctor would like to see you for any repeat prescriptions.

Phone Calls

All phone calls are taken by the doctor at their discretion.

Interpreter Service

Should you require the services of an interpreter during a consultation with the Doctor, please tell the receptionist when making the appointment for you or your family member.

Childhood Immunisations

All childhood Immunisations are direct billed to Medicare on presentation of a current Medicare Card

Children and Babies

A play area is provided for children in the waiting room, however they are to remain under their parents / carers' supervision at all times.

Travel Vaccinations

When making your appointment for your travel vaccination, please advise the reception staff what country you will be visiting. Your Doctor will then be able to provide an up to date vaccination list recommended for that country at the time of your consultation.

Disability Facilities

Wheelchair access is available from the undercover and outside parking areas Disable toilet facilities are also available in the Clinic. Should you have any special needs, please discuss this with the receptionist, nurse or your Doctor.

After Hours Care and Home Visits

After Hours Care can be arranged for those too ill to attend the Clinic through our after hours agency. Please see the receptionist for details on the After Hours Service closest to you.

Reminder System

Our practice is committed to preventative care. We may issue you with a reminder notice  offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care. If you do not wish to be part of this system, please let our receptionist know.

Privacy Policy

All personal information collected on your behalf will remain confidential and will not be viewed or accessed by unauthorized persons. It is the policy of this practice to maintain the security of personal health information at all times.

Billing Information 

Redbank Plaza Medical is a bulk billing practice, Scarborough Street Medical and Labrador Park Medical Centre are mixed billing practices.  Please remember to bring your Medicare Card with you to each appointment as well as your Pension & HCC card if you have them.

However, some medicals are not covered by Medicare, and if you have any queries please ask reception when making the appointment.  If payment is required for additional services at the time of consultation. Eftpos facilities are available at all of our practices.
